Three of these inputs are quoted in dollars and three are producer price indices — their printed levels cannot be compared, so this board compares how much each one moves: log changes over a trailing 182 days, annualised at each series’ own cadence. The flour index prints the biggest number on the board, 266.9, and it is the calmest series on it; crude oil swings twenty-two times harder. Freight is the input nobody quotes, and it moves nearly three times as much as cheese or flour. The monthly indices publish six weeks late, so those lines end where their data ends.
